Rocky Mountain National Park By Air

The closest international airports are Denver International Airport, located 30 minutes east of downtown Denver and 2-3 hours from Estes Park via US 36, and Cheyenne Regional Airport just across the Wyoming border, about 2 hours from Estes Park to the north via US 34 and I-25. Cheyenne offers fewer flight options, but is a good choice if you’re combining a RMNP visit with Cheyenne Frontier Days.

Start your Rocky Mountain National Park vacation by flying into Denver International Airport (DIA). The airport is roughly an hour and a half drive from Rocky Mountain National Park, and there are multiple options for transportation from DIA to the park.
