Courtney Holden

RMNP: Local Girl

Courtney Holden

I'm an aspiring freelance journalist, who's currently finishing up a final semester of graduate school at the University of Colorado at Boulder. After spending a summer working in the Grand Tetons, two years living in a ski town and a summer hiking around Rocky Mountain National Park, I've come to realize that being outside just makes life better. I now live (and play) in Boulder, Colorado, a city known for its fitness levels and affinity for spandex. Hiking, biking, telemark skiing, snowshoeing, mountaineering, running and kickball make my world go ‘round.

RMNP: Adventure Guy

Dave Gordon

Educated in Wildlife Ecology and Environmental Science, Dave has worked in the Ski Industry and Environmental Building Materials throughout the Intermountain West. He has studied extensively the issues of western water use in both quantity and quality and how they will affect our long term uses of wild lands. As a writer, he has written for several publications, including a column entitled 'Biosfears' and a biotech adventure murder mystery, The Eyes of Aspen. As a trail runner and hiker in the mountains, deserts and canyons of the West, he has a passionate knowledge of the trails in National Parks, as well as off the beaten paths and is happy to share his experiences of those wild places. Throw in the brewpub culture and his hobbies of organic food and creative recipes spiced with an Edward Abbey philosophy and he is ready to blog his way to adventure.
